Sunday 8th November 2009 saw the first-ever Powered by Mercedes-Benz Live event held exclusively at Mercedes-Benz World. The lucky ticket-holding crowds arrived at Brooklands in their thousands ready to see their Grand Prix heroes take to the track and they weren’t disappointed.

Lewis Hamilton and team-mate Heikki Kovalainen were joined by double World Champion Mika Häkkinen, David Coulthard and winning Formula 1 team boss, Ross Brawn.

Highlights of the day included Ross Brawn showcasing his team’s 2009 Formula 1 World Championship winning debut car, the Brawn Mercedes BGP 001. Lewis Hamilton also showed off his MP4-23 – the car in which he memorably won the 2008 Drivers’ World Championship.
