Vehicle collection

Fascinating snapshots of automotive history

Storing unique automotive treasures for posterity – this is why Mercedes‑Benz has officially collected vehicles since 1911.

Today's collection comprises a unique stock of around 550 vehicles. Around 350 of these are passenger cars, 140 racing cars and 60 commercial vehicles of the Mercedes‑Benz brand, as well as the predecessor brands Benz and Daimler. All models reflect the basic values of the oldest and most prestigious premium brand in the world: quality, fascination, innovation and safety.

160 vehicles are on display in the Mercedes‑Benz Museum, others are presented at exhibitions or take part in classic-car events and rallies.
In total, Mercedes‑Benz lends out vehicles around 1200 times every year – and the number is growing.

The collection is managed, maintained and expanded on an ongoing basis in line with defined criteria. In this way Mercedes‑Benz ensures that important industrial and cultural products are preserved for future generations.
