Although the diesel engine is now fully developed and the "state of the art" technologically, we continue to search for other alternative drive concepts. After all, alternative drive systems are the future of bus and coach technology. Buses driven by natural gas have been proving themselves in actual practice for years, and a number of other promising concepts are undergoing trials, as well. Our NEBUS (No Emission Bus), which is based on a fuel-cell drive system, is a concept with a very promising future. Electricity is generated in a fuel cell, so the bus is practically noiseless and absolutely emission-free - a perfect combination for a more environmentally friendly future. |
