Tourismo for the German women’s national team

The highest level of safety and comfort
Stuttgart/Magdeburg – The German Football Federation (DFB) received a new team bus in time for the first preliminary country game of the women’s national team: general sponsor Mercedes‑Benz presented the team with a two-axle high-deck touring coach Tourismo on 27 July 2007.
The Tourismo is the newest model in the touring coach family of Mercedes‑Benz and is fast becoming a bestseller. It sets new standards for safety in its class, offers a modern design typical of the brand and of course the tried-and-tested quality of Mercedes‑Benz. All Mercedes‑Benz buses prioritise safety, and the new DFB bus is no exception. Its exemplary safety equipment includes an electronic braking system (EBS), disc brakes on all wheels, anti-lock braking system (ABS), acceleration skid control (ASR), Brake Assist (BA), cruise control, a hydrodynamic retarder, continuous braking limiter (DBL) and, perhaps most notably, the Electronic Stability Program (ESP). A key element of its active safety is the operational safety of the ergonomically optimised cockpit all the way to the electrically adjustable heated exterior mirrors which provide a particularly large field of vision. With its obsidian black paint finish, the new team bus looks especially dynamic thanks to interior equipment and appointments in an anthracite, red and gold colour scheme.
