Michael Göpfarth (40) was confirmed today by the Supervisory Board of EvoBus GmbH as a member of management of EvoBus GmbH from 1 August 2007. Göpfarth has been responsible for all operative sales activities of EvoBus GmbH for the Mercedes‑Benz brand since March 2007.
Göpfarth began his career at the Daimler AG in the early 1990s in the then-newly built passenger car assembly plant in Rastatt. After various positions in Human Resources and Audit, as an assistant to the Board of Management division of commercial vehicles and then working in the management of Minibus GmbH, in May 2004 he took over management of group strategy for commercial vehicles.
As a new member of management Göpfarth joins Werner Staib, brand spokesperson for Setra buses and member of management, and the sales management team of Holger Suffel, responsible for overall sales of buses at EvoBus GmbH and Daimler buses.
The worldwide bus business of Daimler with the brands of Mercedes‑Benz, Setra and Orion is combined under Daimler Buses. As the global market leader for buses over 8 tonnes, it sold around 36,200 chassis and complete buses last year. EvoBus GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Daimler AG. |
