Bergkvarabuss receives the 15,000th Citaro.

Cutting-edge design with elegant lines in the low-entry variants.
The landmark bus is a two-door, 13.1 m long Mercedes-Benz Citaro LE MÜ rural-service bus and is part of what is already the second generation of the Citaro. "Low Entry" is the name Mercedes has given to a concept based on a low-floor bus coupled with the concept of a high-floor bus.
From the front door to the rear door, the two-door Citaro LE MÜ is - like the other members of the Citaro low-entry range - a fully-equipped low-floor bus. To the rear from the rear door, however, it is a high-floor model.

This combination also ensures impressive ease of entry and travelling comfort for passengers with restricted mobility. Added to which, the configuration allows easy-to-service arrangement for the assemblies, which has a positive effect on lifestyle costs when it comes to servicing and maintenance. Like the Citaro LE and LE Ü, the Citaro LE MÜ therefore also combines the benefits of a low-floor and high-floor bus.

A hallmark feature of the Mercedes-Benz Citaro LE, LE Ü and LE MÜ are their slim appearance, despite the fact that the roof is raised by 310 mm from the centre of the vehicle. Stepped side sections create a harmonious transfer from the front of the bus to the rear. The raised roof is gently stepped to the side, making the bus appear lower. At the rear, the raised roof flows into the newly designed rear wall with an elegant sweep.

The introduction of the low-entry Citaro has also heralded the arrival of the revised Citaro model range.
