Bergkvarabuss receives the 15,000th Citaro.

Easy-to-maintain and economical engines.
Easy-to-maintain and economical engines meeting the Euro 4 exhaust norm are fitted in all the 105 new Citaro buses ordered by Bergkvarabuss AB.
Bergkvarabuss opted for the 260-kW (354-hp) OM 457 (h)LA six-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of twelve litres for all 105 of its new Citaro vehicles. The horizontally installed powerplant – housed centrally at the rear of the Citaro LE for easy servicing – fully meets the requirements of the EU’s Euro 4 emissions standard on the basis of Blue-Tec diesel technology. The engine provides its peak torque of 1,600 Nm at just 1,100 rpm. Engine power is sent to the wheels via a ZF six-speed automatic transmission.

In order to minimise engine wear and increase heating comfort for its passengers, Bergkvarabuss has equipped all 105 of its new Citaro buses with a coolant preheating system. The auxiliary heating system has an output of 35 kW.
