From motorway driving to stop-and-go traffic, the CL-Class can now be equipped with the optional Distronic Plus system. Available as part of the Driving Assistance Package which also includes Active Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane-Keeping Assist the package offers drivers a more relaxed driving experience.

Operated via the multi-function steering wheel, Distronic Plus features a series of radar sensors around the car which measure the distance of cars or other objects in front and on each side of the vehicle.

The on-board computer adjusts the brakes and acceleration automatically in order to maintain a constant distance between you and surrounding objects. Through a speed range of 0-124mph the brakes and acceleration are adjusted automatically meaning, if necessary, the vehicle will even be brought to a standstill.

The features of Distronic Plus include BAS Plus (Brake Assist) – proven to reduce the occurrence of rear-end collissions, and Pre-Safe® Brake which substantially reduces impact and overall risk of accidents. The additional benefits of Advanced Parking Guidance (APG) and Blind Spot Assist further ensure optimum functionality.
