Two-stage driver and front passenger airbags are linked to sensors in the front of the vehicle that are designed to detect possible collisions and react beforehand and according to the severity of impact.

This means that the airbags are deployed earlier and – if a severe front impact is detected, both stages are inflated – the first more gently and the second after a short delay – to offer maximum protection. Sidebags and windowbags are fitted as standard. Optional rear airbags are available and are mounted in the rear doors.
