The new E-Class Cabriolet offers a choice of three advanced diesel engines, all BlueEFFICIENCY-optimised to increase output while reducing environmental impact.
Two 4-cylinder units – the E 220 CDI and E 250 CDI – use twin turbochargers to maintain consistently high power output and minimal turbo lag while pulling away.
Fuel economy and emissions for both vehicles are outstanding, with automatic versions recently benefiting from further reductions in CO2.
As for manual versions, the E 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY clocks up 52.3 mpg and emits just 143 g/km CO2. In efficiency terms, the E 250 CDI isn’t far behind, yet it’s capable of 0 – 62 mph in an impressive 7.8 seconds. Benefit in Kind is 20% and 21% respectively.*
The V6 E 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY exceeds expectations for performance, torque, emissions and fuel economy in its segment. Figures include 40.4 mpg combined, 0 – 62 mph in 6.9 seconds, and Benefit in Kind from 29%.
