The optional Mercedes-Benz COMAND control and display system combines entertainment and communication equipment into a compact unit with clear 6.5" TFT display.

As well as Bluetooth® connectivity and Traffic Message Channel, COMAND includes a navigation computer with an integral 40GB hard drive containing map data for much of mainland Europe.

Additionally, an integral CD / DVD drive and SD memory card slot means you can enjoy your own movies and music from the 16:9 colour screen, or programmes received by the optional TV tuner when the car is stationary.

A 4GB Music Register storage drive allows you to create and store playlists within the car’s memory using your own MP3 and WMA files. Alternatively, enjoy music directly from your MP3 player with the Media Interface, which connects to the head unit via a socket in the glovebox, allowing you to control your MP3 player’s functions from the keypad or multi-function steering wheel.

With both hands on the steering wheel, you can control many functions of the audio, communication and navigation systems in your E-Class with COMAND’s Linguatronic voice recognition function.
