Pre-Safe® incorporates a combination of passive and active safety systems which anticipate danger and are able to initiate preventative measures to protect occupants before an accident occurs.

If there is an acute risk of an accident, the following Pre-Safe® measures are activated:
- The driver’s and front passenger’s seat belts are electronically pulled taut
- The front passenger seat is moved into its safest position (only in conjunction with memory seat option)
- the side windows and tilting/sliding sunroof (optional extra) are closed, leaving only a small gap
If the accident is avoided, all systems return to their previous positions and are immediately ready for action again.
