Big on power, small on fuel

Seldom do words like 4x4 and fuel efficiency appear together. Now they can, with the M-Class. It offers two state of the art diesel engines, both using advanced BlueTEC technology to minimise emissions and fuel consumption. In addition, ECO start/stop is standard.

The ML 250 BlueTEC is a 4-cylinder unit, a first for M-Class, yet it provides the same power as the 3.0 litre V6 it replaced. And this downsizing offers improved environmental benefits – CO2 emissions reduced to 165 g/km, with fuel consumption of up to 44.8 mpg* combined.

The 6-cylinder ML 350 BlueTEC offers even greater power and torque – it delivers 0-62 mph in just 7.4 seconds – yet its eco performance isn’t far behind. CO2 is 189 g/km with combined fuel consumption of up to 39.2 mpg*.
