The M-Class can handle even the most challenging gradients without breaking a sweat. At the push of a button, Downhill Speed Regulation (DSR) keeps the vehicle below a preset speed during sharp off-road descents, while the hill-start assist system takes the uncertainty out of starting on a slope by preventing the vehicle from rolling backwards or forwards.

Able to negotiate lateral slopes of up to 35° with its wheels still firmly on the ground, the M-Class is also capable of ascending a 100% slope when fitted with the optional Off-Road Pro package.
