Active Neck-Pro head restraints are fitted as standard for the driver and front passenger in the R-Class. When a rear impact is detected by the vehicle's sensors, the head restraints are primed to move forward within a few milliseconds to cushion and protect the occupant's head. This works to reduce the risk of whiplash injury in the event of an accident.
