Based on the echo sounder principle, Parktronic is an invaluable feature when parking in tight spaces. Sensors located in the bumpers identify potential obstacles and warn the driver of a potential impact. At 35cm away, visual and acoustic warnings warn the driver and when the distance reaches 20cm a continuous warning sound is emitted

If you prefer to trust your own judgement you can, of course, turn off this feature, which is standard on the long wheelbase models and an option on all others.
