The latest generation COMAND (Cockpit Management and Navigation Display) system is fitted as standard in the S-Class. With an easy-to-read eight inch display the audio, video, navigation, telephone and optional TV can be controlled using the logically structured and intuitive menus.

Also included in the COMAND system in the S-Class is the hard-disc-drive (HDD) navigation system. This new system dispenses with the need for constant access to a navigation DVD or CD-ROM freeing the DVD player for audio or video use.
