The SLK-Class engine line-up now features a diesel engine for the very first time. The SLK 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY returns up to 56.5 mpg* combined and emits just 132 g/km CO2, yet still delivers the performance you expect from a
Mercedes-Benz roadster. Producing some 500 Nm of torque, it accelerates from 0-62 mph in just 6.7 seconds.
Alternatively, the SLK offers three direct injection petrol engines that strike a similar balance between power and efficiency. Measures such as ECO start/stop make them up to 25 per cent more economical than their predecessors.
4-cylinder options include the SLK 200 BlueEFFICIENCY, which achieves up to 43.5 mpg* combined with CO2 emissions as low as 151 g/km. The more powerful SLK 250 BlueEFFICIENCY returns up to 42.8 mpg* combined and reaches 62 mph from a standing start in 6.6 seconds.
Finally, there’s the SLK 350 BlueEFFICIENCY, a V6 unit that produces 306 hp, powers from 0-62 mph in 5.6 seconds, and returns an impressive 39.8 mpg* combined.
