The eagerly anticipated 2012 Formula 1™ season has started and hopes are high for the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS team.

Up first was the Australian Grand Prix, which took place at Melbourne’s Albert Park on March 15-18. Set around a beautiful central lake, the 3.295 mile circuit offers a challenging combination of fast, flowing corners, and a tight hairpin-type bend system onto the start-finish straight.

As team driver Nico Rosberg told Germany’s Bild magazine: "I have a good feeling about 2012. All our guys are working hard to get Mercedes to the right end of the grid.”
