In February’s edition, GQ magazine released their 2011 list of Britain’s Best-Dressed men.

One of GQ’s Best-Dressed men and Britpop maverick, Alex James came to Mercedes-Benz World to experience the new SLS AMG and the classic 300 SL “Gullwing”. Top GQ photographer Jake Walters joined Alex to capture him with the two different generations of Mercedes-Benz motoring icons.
Impeccably attired, the former Blur bassist took to the track at Brooklands and put the 571 hp SLS AMG through its paces. He had this to say:
“Get in the SLS and it’s like getting into a helicopter. Inside it’s uncluttered. A place of stillness and peace – until you floor it and then all hell breaks loose”.
