Mercedes-Benz exhibited at the British International Motor Show from 23 July – 3 August this year. This highlight of the UK motoring events season takes place at the London ExCel, showcasing the latest cars from manufacturers across the globe and celebrating the motor industry.
Mercedes-Benz has a long history with the Motor Show, having made our first appearance back in 1903 at Crystal Palace. This year, we exhibited an exciting range of our latest models and services. Highlights included our brand experience centre at Mercedes-Benz World Brooklands, the smart ed (a zero emissions electric vehicle currently on test) and the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, which holds the London Land Speed Record of 175.7 mph. The awesome SLR McLaren was on display in ExCel’s halls for public viewing.
The British International Motor Show is an important date in the Mercedes-Benz calendar, with 400,000 visitors expected to visit our stand in two weeks. This year we have a range of new and improved cars coming to market, and the exhibition was an excellent opportunity for us to display these, and for visitors to see them.
