| The most important facts first: the Econic with a natural gas engine is a vehicle equipped for the future – it meets the high standards of the certificate regulations ECE R110 as well as the strict exhaust emission standard EEV (enhanced environmentally friendly vehicle) exhaust gas standard and already meets the requirements of the planned EURO 5 standard. Little more than hot air comes out of its exhaust. That’s down to its innovative, electronic engine management system, the integral oxidising catalytic converter and the natural combustion properties of natural gas. Natural gas contains virtually no pollutant-forming constituents and combustion is therefore particularly low in pollutants. A positive side effect: the particularly smooth and quiet operation and the smoother combustion mean that the natural gas Econic’s noise emission levels are up to 50% lower than those of a diesel engine with noise encapsulation. |
