The lightweight heavyweight

The frame you can rest your burdens on

The parallel frame design featured in the Axor neatly fulfils two of the fundamental design requirements: an extremely high load-bearing capacity on the one hand and, on the other, not a single ounce of surplus weight.

An array of measures aimed at keeping the kerb weight low have made it possible to achieve the set objective of combining a robust design with extra payload. As a result, the frame of the new Axor has a design weight higher than that of the plated weight indicated on the chassis plate in the cab.

The frame's 50-mm hole pattern holds further benefits in store. It makes body attachment extremely simple for one thing, meaning that bodies and add-on components such as extra fuel tanks can be fitted quickly and easily. It also eliminates the need to drill additional holes which could impair the frame's anti-corrosion protection. In other words, the 50-mm hole pattern ensures that the outstanding protective seal produced by the cathodic dip-painting process remains intact.
