Attachment and Body Mounting Areas

Unlimited possibilities

Attachment and Mounting Areas
The Unimog U 300/U 400/U 500 was designed, first and foremost, as a professional implement carrier and that means it’s ideal for a multitude of almost unlimited applications. With its three attachment points and an additional area for mounting bodies, the Mercedes-Benz Unimog has proved to be a unique and highly versatile platform for combinations of implements and attachments. The Unimog is the ideal, total working package.
Frame design
The Unimog's ability to carry out several different tasks throughout the year are made possible because of the straight chassis-type frame, which provides maximum stability, because of its high degree of rigidity and torsional resistance. Mounting and de-mounting implements is fast and easy because of the Unimog’s integrated attachment points and pre-marked hole patterns. Implements, attachments and different bodies can be mounted and de-mounted quickly and easily at the same time as ensuring safety for operatives.
Defined attachment points
All attachment and body mounting areas are compatible with existing implements – which means no additional costs, and makes de-mounting and mounting simpler and faster.
Three attachment areas
The attachment areas are: the standard, front attachment, DIN, plate; between the axles; and at the rear. They are suitable for an almost limitless variety of implements.
One body mounting area, three options
With or without a tipper/drop-side body – the body mounting area with three options is extremely flexible. Existing implements can be installed on the tipper/drop-side body; new implements can be mounted directly onto the sub-frame's ball-type fastening points; and, finally, permanent superstructures or seasonally demountable implements can be fitted directly onto the frame.
