| Daimler-Benz AG has reaffirmed its commitment to electric drive systems with the launch of the new 308 E Sprint generation of electro vans. The van will comfortably complete journeys of 60 to 100 km, depending on the type of battery installed. The 308 E Sprint accelerates to 50 km/h in 16 seconds and the engine even acts as a generator when the driver brakes. The smooth electric brake system ensures that the braking energy is recycled. The 308 E Sprint is the latest stage in the constant optimisation of the electric drive system. |
