The Adaptive ESP® stability programme automatically measure the van's current load condition. With this information, it can then react with just the right amount of force to optimally suit the current driving situation. If for example a wheel starts to spin or threatens to lose traction and skid, sensors will recognise this in a fraction of a second. Adaptive ESP® will then automatically determine and implement the optimal control action.
Electronic brake force distribution (EBV) and active motor management support the driver by applying specific braking forces to individual wheels in order to stabilise the vehicle. Adaptive ESP® prevents the vehicle under- or over-steering in critical situations, noticeably improving both traction and driving stability. |
