Vehicle hire giant Northgate plc has turned to Mercedes-Benz for a fleet of Vito vans worth £1.1 million after launching an exciting new venture with Stelios, the serial entrepreneur and founder of easyGroup.
Northgate began providing vans for rental from its 88 UK locations via easyCar.com on a pilot basis a year ago. It was clear from the number of bookings received that there was huge potential for a dedicated van rental offering, so easyVan.com was launched.
easyVan.com is simple to use and offers customers low cost van hire with a choice of five vehicle sizes, for activities such as moving house, undertaking DIY projects or just moving large or heavy items from one place to another.
The first vehicles to wear the livery of easyVan.com are 80 Long-bodied Mercedes Vito 109CDIs. Five of the new vans have just completed a UK tour to promote easyVan, the convoy visiting major cities the length and breadth of the country and covering a whopping 10,000 miles in total!
The 80 liveried Vitos join the vast fleet of vehicles to which easyVan customers will have access across Northgate’s network of locations.

“The Vito is a first-rate product; comfortable, easy to drive, and with a high standard specification, as well as relatively compact dimensions – it’s the ‘Harrods’ of panel vans if you like. All of these factors will enhance its appeal to potential customers.”
